On Friday, Alves had this to say regarding Newell’s potent aerial threat and our inability to deal with potent aerial threats:

  i am speechless. 3 goals in the first 20 minutes i couldn’t stop laughing after the third goal from the shock of it. the sad part is they could’ve scored more. i think we did better in the second half unfortunately we dug ourselves such a hole…

  i want to know why is lucas viatri is on the bench for so long. i think palermo should be subbed in games like these after the 60 minute mark.

  yo munshi. what a catastrof#@ck of an opening 25 minutes! i totally agree mate, it could easily have been 5-0, such was our total absence of a defensive line. But, after the opening onslaught, I do think we were better, and overall, worth a point on the chances we created. Roman didnt take the radar, which hurt.
  Palermo did look tired, Viatri should have been on sooner, for sure. The big man cant handle 3 full games in a week anymore. Quiet debut from Prediger as well.
